We love October for one reason…it means it’s almost winter!
Okay, so we also like when the leaves change color, that there are pumpkins and mums on every corner, and the taste of a nice fall Michigan brew. We like all of these things so much, that we decided to throw an epic party to celebrate!
It’s called Skitoberfest and you don’t want to miss it.
Thanks for a great opening weekend at Nub’s Nob! The ski hill is closed this week as our Snow Farmers work to open more terrain and lifts for this upcoming Saturday.
On December 19 we will open at 9 am and plan to stay open daily for the remainder of the ski season.
We’re excited to announce Crystal Mountain will open the slopes for Season Passholders, Four Seasons Club Members and houseguests on Friday, December 18!
Slopes will open for the season to the general public on Saturday, December 19 at 9 a.m.
With snow on the way and favorable snowmaking temps in the week ahead, we believe we’ll be able to open multiple trails and lifts. As the snow falls we’ll continue to post updates on what slopes will be open and what to expect in the coming days.
We hope to open some slopes on 12/18 for Season Passholders, Four Seasons Members and houseguests.
We anticipate opening on 12/19 for day passes and the general public. We’re monitoring our capacity so same-day tickets may not be available. Purchase your advance tickets online! pic.twitter.com/9XFx8bLBA3
The Crystal Mountain team has been working toward re-opening for this winter since we ended operations last March. Crystal Clean was developed as our commitment to safety and health, but has become part of our culture throughout the summer. We are strengthening that commitment to you now by continuing to plan for all contingencies and reimagining the Crystal Mountain experience for your safety, for your health and for your enjoyment.
But we need your help: We can’t be successful without you. You play an important role in everything we do.

Thank you for your support, compassion and understanding that staying vigilant now and in the months ahead, will help us all have a safe, fun and spectacular winter. We are excited to see you!
The slopes of Schuss Mountain will open on Saturday, December 19th.
The 10-day forecast has favorable snowmaking conditions returning this weekend with solid 24-hour periods to follow. Our crew will make the most of every opportunity.
It’s too soon to say how many runs or whether there will be a temp terrain park set. We’ll see what we’re able to accomplish based on the weather that shows up. Most of you already know we will work around the clock to get Schuss ready.
