Krazy Daze - Boyne Highlands - March 15, 2008

Fun for the whole family awaits during this spring tradition. Kid’s events include a Silly Slalom, costume judging, Nastar and more. Is it true they build a pond and let people ski and snowboard across? You bet it’s true. So dress up or dress down, just make sure to be a part of the fun. Check out all the details….

Kids Spring Fling, ages 20 and under:
Skiing/snowboarding - 9 am-4:30 pm
Face Painting - 9 am-4 pm, Day Lodge
Jump Competition - 10:30 am, Camelot slope
Nastar Competition - Noon, Nastar course
Silly Slalom - 1:30 pm, Camelot slope
Awards - 4 pm, Cafeteria

Participants in the Jump competition, Nastar and Silly Slalom will accumulate points in each event; the top three point winners in each age category will win the following prizes:

1st - Family (up to four) ski weekend at Boyne Mountain or Boyne Highlands
2nd - All day child/teen program at Boyne Mountain or Boyne Highlands for two
3rd - Weekender lift tickets for two
Krazy Daze, 21 and over:
Dual GS Race - 10:30 am, Nastar course (racers will attempt to match the time set by one of KHQ’s radio personalities)
The Krazy Cup (adult Silly Slalom)- 12:30 pm, Camelot slope
Ski Over The Krazy Pond - 2:30 pm, Camelot slope
Outrageous Costume Contest - 3:30 pm, Zoo Bar
Awards - 4:45 pm, Zoo Bar

Participants in the Dual GS, Krazy Cup and pond events will accumulate points in each event; the top three point winners in each age category will win the following prizes:

1st - Ski week for two at Boyne Mountain or Boyne Highlands
2nd - Weekend package for two
3rd - TBD

Outrageous Costume Prizes:
1st - Weekend Lift & Lodgint package for two
2nd - Weekender lift tickets for two
3rd - One-day lift tickets for two

The Get Krazy Party in The Zoo Bar features the legendary Aaron Vaughn Band starting at 4:30 PM. Or stop by the Slopeside Lounge to kick back and dance to the sounds of Nancy’s Fury starting at 9 PM.

Carnival Weekend - Boyne Mountain - March 14 thru 16

It’s party time once again. Boyne Mountain pulls out all the stops as Mardi Gras moves north for the weekend. How can I get some of those beads you ask, come to Boyne Mountain and find out. Bands, costume competitions, the slush cup and parties all over the resort make this a weekend to remember. You might want to plan on using a sick day for Monday.

Friday, March 14:

Howling Diablos has toured with Kid Rock, George Clinton, Ben Harper, Alice Cooper, Incubus and more! (No cover charge! Must be at least 21 years of age.)

This year’s on-hill format follows last years - no resort run beverage outlets or fenced in areas. You will not be allowed up the mountain without a valid lift ticket or 2007/08 season pass and equipment.

Be sure to plan ahead if you’ll be indulging in beverages -designate a driver or arrange for a ride if you live in the immediate area. Quickie Cab will be coordinating rides out of the Clock Tower Lodge. Rates are determined by Quickie Cab.

Gather your friends, load up the backpacks, strap on your skis and snowboards and have a memorable and safe day on the mountain!

Crystal Mountain - St. Patrick’s Day Celebration - March 17

Indianhead Mountain - Bikini Races and Fashion Show/BSO Atomic Races - March 15, 2008

New Year’s Eve 2007 AT CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN

A magnificent fireworks show! FREE to all! New Year’s Eve Lift Hours: 9am-9pm. Fireworks at Midnight

Tommy Vale and the Torpedos
9pm-1am. Join us in Hudson Bay in the Crystal Center for a rocking dance party. Enjoy your favorite danceable R&B hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s from a live band, Tommy Vale and the Torpedos, dance floor, cash bar, party favors, champagne toast and a great view of the fireworks at midnight. Purchase your tickets in advance at the Wild Tomato restaurant or at the door the night of the party. Reservations not required. You must be 21 to enter. Space is limited, so come early! $15 cover per person includes music and toast at midnight.

The Vista Lounge
9pm-2am. Enjoy entertainment in the Vista Lounge by the DJ Hot Traxx, a cash bar, party favors, midnight champagne toast and a perfect view of the torchlight parade and fireworks at midnight. Purchase your tickets in advance at the Wild Tomato restaurant or at the door the night of the party. Reservations not required. You must be 21 to enter The Vista. Space is limited, so come early! The Vista closes for an hour at 8pm and doors re-open at 9pm. The Vista will be open until 2am. $15 cover per person includes music and toast at midnight.

Bug Bash NYE Family Party
7pm-Midnight. Bugs big and small, this party is for all! Bees, caterpillars, crickets and more come together and explore a New Year’s Eve party like nothing before. BEE there for games, prizes, food and fun! Come dressed
as your favorite bug! Theme party geared for children 12 and under. $35 per person. Children 3 and under attend free with a paying adult. Parent supervision required. Party includes dinner from 7-8pm. Fireworks show at midnight. Space is limited. Advance reservations required, call the Mountain Adventure Center, ext. 7000.

Teen DJ Dance Party
8pm-Midnight. Dance Party just for teens! Party geared for teens 13-20 only! Sign up for hourly drawings and score free stuff! Prizes include Crystal logo gear, food and ski and snowboard gear. Must be present to win. Music requests will be taken. No reservations required. Admission is $5 per person. Party is located in Mountain View located on the second floor of the Lodge and includes party favors, a live countdown at midnight and a great view of the fireworks.

WILD TOMATO BUFFET
Join us New Year’s Eve from 5-11pm and New Year’s Day from 5-10pm in the Wild Tomato for our famous buffet. The name has changed but the buffet will have the great items you remember. Reservations are recommended. Please call ext. 6050 for rates and reservations.

Torchlight Parade - Everyone with a valid season pass or lift ticket is welcome to participate. Parade starts at the top of Cheers just before midnight. To carry a torch you must be 16 years of age and you must sign up at the Snowsports Desk on New Year’s Eve (parent signature required if under 18).

Horse-drawn Surrey Rides - Several rides offered. Be whisked away through the winter woodland of Crystal Mountain by a team of gentle Belgian horses on a destination Surrey Rides. Surrey rides include a bonfire with marshmallows.
Space is limited and reservations are required. Call the Mountain Adventure Center at ext. 7000. $8 per person, children 8 and under ride free with a paying adult (one child per adult).

Houseguest In-room Babysitting is available until 1am. Sitters are limited and advance reservations are required, ext. 7000.

Crystal Mountain Winter Warm-Up Ski Weekend - December 14-15

Get out and play - the slopes reopen for the season Friday, Dec. 7th at noon - and winter is here at Crystal Mountain! This early season ski package includes Friday and Saturday night lodging and lift tickets upon arrival through departure, plus a complimentary cross country trail pass. What’s more, if you bring the kids (and we’re not saying you have to), they sleep and ski FREE!

*Valid December 7-8 and December 14-15, 2007. Rate based on double adult occupancy in standard hotel accommodation. Up to three children 17 and under ski free when sharing accommodations with two paying adults. Deposit is fully refundable up to 48 hours prior to arrival date. Cancellations of nights or entire stay within 14 days will result in forfeiture of deposit.
