November is right around the corner and we are still busy getting ready for the upcoming ski and snowboard season. Earlier this week, heated concrete pads were installed around the bottom lift terminals, the top of the conveyor, and the Ski Patrol entrance resulting in a safer work environment and less maintenance.
We just took delivery of a Prinoth Bison X Stage V groomer earlier this week. Winter is coming and we’ll be ready when the cold temps arrive! #whatsnew#SkiMichigan... See MoreSee Less
Caberfae is excited to announce the purchase of a new, fixed grip chairlift, scheduled to open for the 27/28 ski and snowboard season. The new Green Mountain Triple Chair will open access to additional terrain that is designed to better serve novice skiers and riders.
The Green Mountain Triple marks the resort’s third Doppelmayr chair in just 11 years, reinforcing their continued commitment to reinvest and improve the guest experience. The lift will help bridge a much needed gap from the surface lift to the East Peak Triple Chair, offering a smoother and easier progression for those learning to ski and ride.
“We are thrilled to begin this terrain expansion,” said Manager, Pete Meyer. “Our skiers and riders will now have a dedicated, lift-served area to build confidence and skills before moving on to larger, more challenging slopes.”
The multi-year project includes planning, excavation, and lift-line clearing in 2025, concrete work for the terminal and tower foundations as well as snowmaking installation in 2026, followed by the lift installation in 2027.
“Unlike our previous installations in 2016 and 2022, which replaced aging 1967 Hall Double chairs, this lift adds new capacity, increasing both our overall lift count and skiable terrain,” said Mountain Operations Manager, Tim Meyer. “This expansion improves the experience for skiers and riders of all ability levels and continues our mission of investing where it matters most - on the slopes.” #caberfaepeaks#whatsnew#SkiMichigan...
