FROM Friends of Valley Spur Things turned out great today. Skate lanes were firm, but easy to get an edge. Yesterday’s snow had filled the older classic tracks making things slower. People kept showing up all day. Depending on temps in a.m. we will redo some of the skate lanes. Our Jeeps are down for major maintenance. John C or groomer has performed miracles to get them through this winter. Keep an eye on the weather and posts here.

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing Thursday March 30th- starting out the day with single digits, sun and lots of base to groom! Today we will be working on grooming up all the east side trails including the loop, ridge, rollercoaster, Cry Baby?, and badlands which will make for some great skiing with A skis for most of the day. We will be closed on Friday because the forecast for Friday/Friday night is calling for over an inch of rain and temperatures in the mid 40’s. It’s hard to say what Saturday morning is going to hold for grooming, but it’s probable that the base will be too soft and wet to groom except for the 240 snowmaking loop and Linda’s link. We may be able to groom up more trails on Sunday based on how the base sets up and how the base survives the rain on Friday. We do plan to be open this Saturday and Sunday with at least the snowmaking loop groomed.
FROM Porcupine Mountains Winter Sports Complex Reminder... We will be closing for the season Sunday, April 2nd, 2023. ❄️ It's been a fabulous ski season and we hope to see you all again next year! Season pass Sale Dates will be posted at a later date! 🍂🍁
