FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> Today is Founders Day at the Corner and Dave has made sure that we would have plenty of snow to groom and ski to celebrate. The raffle drawing for the Reid Goble fundraiser is also on tap at 10AM. We plan to groom the majority of our trails, tilling in the 4 to 6 inches received over the last few days, putting us back to 100% coverage. Trail passes for non-season pass holders are reduced to $10. A major winter storm is forecast starting late Saturday night and going into Monday for the northern lower and UP. Guess you could say today is the calm before the storm. Check out the weather forecast and stay informed. Open at 9. Gates close at 5.
We expect to look like this again by late Sunday going into next week. #forbush #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichiganToday is Founders Day at the Corner and Dave has made sure that we would have plenty of snow to groom and ski to celebrate. FROM Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes >> Good morning Skiers! We've seen a few inches of snow accumulation over the past 24 hours and it's beautiful. Unfortunately, our winter grooming vehicle has already been prepped for the summer and won't be out on the Heritage Trail today. FROM NTN Trails >> Friday Trail Update:
We recommend you don't come to Forestville today. We don't groom while it's actively snowing.
More importantly, the road isn't plowed and most likely won't get plowed until much later today. The driving conditions are very difficult.
The tracks and skate deck are currently buried and the snow is still falling.
Our goal is to have ski trails and singletrack trails ready for Saturday morning skiing and biking. Watch Nordic Pulse for up to the minute updates.
Stay safe out there. 🌨️❄️ #ntntrails #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichigan ... See MoreSee Less

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> The predicted heavy snow is falling, forecast is 6 to 8 inches in the next 24 hours. We expect to groom, but expect soft conditions and new snow accumulating. This is great news for tomorrow. We will be able to open up the whole trail system with great conditions. The forecast for Sunday and Monday is for a major winter storm. We may have to close and wait this storm out. Stay tuned. We will see how it goes. FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> It’s Wednesday, and we are forming a plan for the next couple of days. Tomorrow and Friday will probably be in play for some decent skiing. Tomorrow for sure. Going to groom up the 240 loop, Pancake, Linda’s Link, Badlands and the Pines loop for skate and classic. There are good classic tracks on the trails that won’t be groomed. Friday will be a bit more challenging for grooming, but maybe we can do the 240 loop, Linda’s link and Ridge. We expect to be closed to skiing on Saturday (ugly weather forecast) and not reopening until Thursday, March 12 following the warm temps. We hope that we will be open the following weekend based on cooler temps. Hold off on putting your skis away! Open at 9. 🎿 Nordic Trail Update:
🏡 Lodge and trails open at 9:00 AM
(Lodge closes at 3:00 PM)
No new grooming today. The PB100 really worked the snow yesterday grinding in new tracks, so we’re going to let the trail rest today.
Groomer Dan will be back out tomorrow morning to assess trail conditions and groom as conditions allow.
☀️ In the meantime, enjoy the sunshine and get out for a glide! #hansonhills #crosscountry #snowphotos #SkiMichiganWEDNESDAY UPDATE — MARCH 4, 2026

FROM Friends of Valley Spur >> Tuesday the 3rd of March and our Groomer says we are going to let the trails ride as is until the weekend due to this warm up. Trails will be groomed up for Taste and Glide. You may want to snowshoe or ski to enjoy the full moon this evening with your head lamps. Our signage is reflective. The lodge will be open all week. I won't be doing another report until conditions change.
