FROM Vasa Trail Ski Conditions --> The Wall. The tracks get wider and shorter in order to scale this appropriately named Vasa landmark. With the bypass that was created a few years ago, it’s clear by the number of tracks that most people avoid this climb. But whether u can zip up in less than 30 seconds or it takes several breaks to make it, there’s nothing on the trail as satisfying as the moment you “summit”. Friendly suggestion - At least sometimes, bypass the bypass and take on this old beast. 💪🏽😉❄️... #vasa #snowphotos #crosscountryThe Wall. After skiing yesterday afternoon and seeing another 1-2 inches of snow on the trail we will be out again this morning setting new classic tracks and renovating the skate lane. Not enough snow to set tracks from the start, over the bridge and along the shelf. The rest of the trail has enough snow to cut in nice tracks.

High winds last night may have brought branches and maybe even a tree down on the trail. If you encounter a tree down while out skiing please contact TART and we will remove it ASAP.
Although we are not grooming today the trail should be in great condition for both skating and classic skiing. Keep it mind that we have not set tracks until you get to where the 5k branches off from the main trail. From that point on tracks are set throughout the system. We will start setting tracks at the trail head as soon as there is sufficient snow depth.
Forecasts suggest 1 or 2 mores inches tonight and a return of below freezing temps. We will be out grooming again tomorrow morning. A report will go out by 7:30 am. Peace, Glen... 01/21/21... 6:27 am ... #vasa #crosscountry #snowphotosGood morning Badgers,

James, John and Jim have been out grooming early this morning. James reports cold temps from 10 to 18 degrees with 2-3 inches of fresh snow since yesterdays groom. They have completed the 5k and are currently at the 13k post on the 25k moving in a clockwise direction. The three amigos will finish up this morning on the 10k and the 3k. New classic tracks are being cut in throughout the VASA.
The trail is once again well covered in most areas. As you ski please be cautious around the areas with pine trees hanging over the trail. Snow can be very thin in those locations. Enjoy!
