Caberfae Peaks Gold Cup Super G ~ March 21, 2021

Sunday, March 21, 2021: Caberfae Peaks Gold Cup Super G

  • Register at the ticket office from 9 am to 12 pm
  • Race is at 1 pm on South Peak
  • Awards banquet following the race
  • Super Giant Slalom on GGs Ride – Open to all
  • $14 per racer, or $20 for both the Wickham and the Gold Cup
  • Age divisions: 8-10, 11-13, 14-16, 17-32, 33-45, 46-59, 60+
  • Overall Male & Female Winners

  • Junior Development Teams from other ski resorts are on site to compete
  • Slalom Race on March 6
  • Giant Slalom & Slalom Race on March 7

Saturday, March 13, 2021: Jim Wickham Memorial Race

  • 1 pm start, register at the ticket office from 9 am to 12 pm
  • Awards banquet following the race
  • Slalom on Liberty – Open to all
  • $14 per racer for the Wickham, or $20 to add the Gold Cup
  • Age divisions: 0-10, 11-14, 15-17, 18-35, 36-46, 47-57, 58 and up

Sunday, March 14, 2021: Earl Huckle Memorial Race

  • 1 pm start, register in Beatie’s Bar & Grill from from 9 am to 12 pm
  • Giant Slalom on Liberty & Olympia – Open to all
  • $5 for kids and $10 for adults
  • 100% of the proceeds, other than entry fees, go towards the Cadillac Ski Club
  • Age divisions: 0-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Crystal Mountain - Retro Weekend

Dust off the neon, ringer tees, gigantic jeans and vintage sweaters. Whatever your decade, it’s time to bring it back for Retro Day at Crystal Mountain!

Noon – 4pm

  • DJ CDX will be throwing it back to your retro favorites on the Crystal Center patio!
  • On-Slope Scavenger Hunt: Find the disco balls hidden around the mountain and bring one back to the DJ booth for a prize. If found before Noon or after 4pm, please redeem at the Park at Water’s Edge.
  • Trivia at the DJ booth
  • Candy Jar Challenge – Guess the amount of goodies in the jar! DJ CDX will announce the winner at 3:45pm.

2pm

  • Costume Contest – We want you to throw it WAY back and show us your retro gear! The best dressed male and female will win a Crystal Mountain Swag Bag.

  • On-slope Easter Egg Hunt – Look for our Easter eggs hidden on the slopes for a prize! Redeem your egg at the Park at Water’s Edge.
  • Jellybean Jar – Guess how many jellybeans are in the jar at the Park at Water’s Edge!

During January, ski areas across the state teamed up with Michigan McDonald’s restaurants to offer an affordable introduction to the sport of skiing and snowboarding.

  • $35 Downhill Skiing or Snowboarding
  • $20 Cross-country Skiing
