We saw Northern Michigan was getting 30+ inches of snow and snuck away for one last weekend on a snowboard before season end. Before this season I hadn’t been on a board in 15 years and Deb had never been on one. So glad I finally got her into it. I missed it. Can’t wait for it to get cold again 🥶 🏂

I had to sit between them on the chair because apparently 48 hours in hotel rooms is too much.
Delayed open but like 20"+ of blizzard fresh #lakeeffectsnow it was a short afternoon and still quite blustery but definitely made up for yesterday's shutdown.
Day 30. "Sometimes it do be like that" edition. Tons of snow but almost zero visibility and a relentless uphill wind.
I snuck a handful of laps while the kids lazed about (probably for the better tbh) and by the time they were ready to roll, the resort shut down. Waffles as a consolation prize.
I guess there was also lightning in the vicinity because why not have lightning in a blizzard, too?
Rolled up on a beautiful bluebird afternoon and the leftovers of yesterday's kinda big snowstorm. Too late to score any fresh, it was a chunder day but a goddamn beautiful one. The company was rad and conditions were prime.
Gonna try to ride out whatever #snowpocalypse tomorrow ushers in. 🤞

Finally made it up to boynehighlands in Harbor Springs today. Such a beautiful area right next to Little Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan. Their chairlifts with heated seats and bubble enclosure had us singing The Girl in the Bubble from Wicked🩷💚😂 Great spot, looking forward to going back sometime!

We closed out 2025 and rang in 2026 at The Highlands at Harbor Springs (Boyne Highlands) and this trip meant more than words.
This wasn’t just a ski trip… it was together-time magic.
Cousins skiing run after run — from first-timers to terrain park senders. Night skiing under the lights was a huge hit with the cousins (and the dads), while the moms soaked in a little more après-ski and cozy lodge moments. Bonfires and s’mores, game rooms, cocoa breaks, heated pools and hot tubs, quiet winter walks, spa time… and late-night game nights in the cottages with cards, snacks, and everyone piled together in sweats.
New Year’s Eve brought the Torchlight Parade down the mountain, fireworks overhead, and celebrating together in the lodge — pure joy and gratitude.
But this kind of trip is even deeper for me. Skiing, the mountains, being outdoors, making memories as a family — this was my dad’s vision for us. He believed in experiences, adventure, and time together, and worked so hard to make that life possible, even though his time here was far too short.
So my brothers and I carry on the tradition with our families. We make the trips happen. We choose the memories.
And none of it happens without my mom — the one who brings everyone together and pours her heart into making these moments so special every time. She’s the glue and the memory-maker. 🤍
This, to me, is real wellness — fresh air, movement, laughter, connection, faith, and being fully present with the people God gave us.

Robin has been spotted, so spring must be here. But the ski season doesn’t end until the last bullwheel stops turning. Here is my schedule for the rest of my ski season. I’ll be at caberfaepeaks Sunday, March 29th, boyne.mountain Friday, April 3rd and crystalmountainmi Saturday, April 4th. Get out and enjoy these last couple weekends of winter while you can!
