New Year’s Eve Party Packs

Celebrate with those closest to you in your own private setting with our Party Packs!

We’ll provide you with:

  • Four top hats
  • Four tiaras
  • Four noise makers
  • Four “Happy New Year” eyeglasses
  • One “Happy New Year” banner

$20 per party pack. Packs must be reserved in advance. Reserved party packs may be picked up at the Park at Water’s Edge during operational hours beginning December 26, 2024. Please call 231-378-2238  to reserve your party pack beginning on November 15, 2024.


Live Music at the Slopeside Tent

3pm – 5pm: After you hit the slopes, unwind with some great music. Grab a drink and something to eat while you enjoy live tunes from Chris Smith.


Dinner at the Wild Tomato

Start 2025 filled with a delicious dinner from the Wild Tomato.

Available from 5pm – 10pm.

New Year’s Eve Family Party

Celebrate surrounded by loved ones during our Family Party! Located in Northwest Territories in the Crystal Center. Party includes dinner buffet, non-alcoholic beverages (iced tea, lemonade, water, coffee), party favors, live entertainment, and kids goody bag. Soda and alcoholic beverages will be available for individual purchase.  We will begin taking reservations on November 15. Reservations are required. Please call 231-378-2238 to book your reservation.

Cancellations must be made 48-hours in advance. One transaction per reservation. Payment is taken at the time of reservation for the entire party. Space is limited. Parties larger than 10 may be seated at two adjacent tables. Smaller parties may be grouped together.


Live Music at the Vista Lounge

2pm – 5pm: Enjoy the view of the slopes and great drinks while you hear the musical stylings of Laura Crowe!
8:30pm – 12:30am: Enjoy live music by Scarkazm as you ring in the new year! Ages 21+ only. $10 cover charge.


Family Glow Light & Torchlight Parade

The parade begins at the top of Cheers to Lou at 10pm sharp! Registration is required at the Mountain Adventure Zone, in the white tent on December 31, 2024 only. Registration will begin at 9am and will continue until no more spaces are available. Spaces are limited to the first 100 people ages 18 and up to carry a torch, and the first 100 people ages 6 – 17 to carry a glow light. All participants will be provided a wristband for chairlift access. All participants must have the ability to ski or snowboard in a controlled manner safely down a blue slope. An adult must be present to sign up minors.

9:15 – 9:40pm: Buck Chairlift will be accessible for parade participants. A valid season pass or lift ticket for December 31, 2024 is required. All participants must show their wristband to the lift operator. The last chair allowed to load is at 9:40pm sharp. Anyone arriving after 9:40pm will be denied access.

A completed Snowsports Waiver must be on file. Parent signature is required for ages 6 – 17. Participants must be proficient in skiing or snowboarding BLUE/INTERMEDIATE slopes, able to follow direction, and ski or snowboard in a controlled manner. Wristband from the Mountain Adventure Zone is required to get on the chairlift.

Fireworks

Join us for fireworks over the mountain as we send off 2024 with a bang! Fireworks will begin immediately following the Torchlight Parade.

New Year’s Eve Week-December 26 thru January 2

Ring in the New Year on Mackinac Island from December 26, 2014 through January 2, 2015. Your Mackinac Island Holiday is made possible with special openings from six lodging facilities, two restaurants and the always open Doud’s Grocery store. Several shops also open just for this holiday. Join us Downtown at Midnight to welcome the new year with the Great Turtle Ball Drop before heading back inside to warm up and celebrate the New Year with live music. Spend your days cross country skiing, snow-showing, snowmobiling and hiking in pristine winter conditions. And spend your nights in the intimate lounges and restaurants. This New Year Holiday, Make it Mackinac.

December 31st from 2pm to 4pm head to Marquette Park for the 2nd Annual Snowball Dash. Teams compete in the snow in events like a 3-legged race, wheel barrel race and obstacle course! To participate, show up with a team or two or more to Marquette Park at 2pm.

Great Turtle Drop on New Year’s Eve

Great Turtle Drop
The Innkeepers at the Cottage Inn dreamed up the Great Turtle Drop as Mackinac Island’s version of Times Square and it was so well received that they are lighting up their turtle again this year. The drop takes place on Main Street at the Christmas Tree around midnight.
