Crystal Mountain - Spring Carnival

Celebrate spring the “up-north” way, with all kinds of snow-filled fun! Fun-in-the-sun costumes are highly encouraged. Get ready for events and activities for the whole family can enjoy during Spring Carnival.

Please Note: All activities are weather permitting and subject to cancellation.

9:30 – 10:30AM: Cardboard Classic Registration
Please review the rules prior to creating your sled. Held in Lot H between the Lodge and Crystal Center. Only two racers are allowed per sled. Helmets are required. Day-of-registration required 30-minutes before event start time (10:30am). All participants must be present at registration for a wristband.

10:30AM: Creative Sled Contest
Build a sled using only cardboard and duct tape. Sleds must be pre-registered to participate in the Cardboard Classic

11AM: Cardboard Classic Race
Held on the Cheers to Lou slope! View the rules prior to building your sled.

11AM – 1:30PM: Slush Cup Registration 
Held at the DJ booth on the Crystal Center deck. Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Helmets are required. Rental gear is prohibited.

11am – 2pm

Enjoy our slopeside BBQ on the Lodge Deck!

  • Burger Plate – $12
  • BBQ Pork & Slaw Plate – $12
  • Brat Plate – $9
  • Hot Dog Plate – $7

All plates come with homemade chips and baked beans.

Noon – 4pm

  • Slopeside music from Executive Sounds will be playing your favorite tunes at the Crystal Center patio!
  • On-Slope Scavenger Hunt – Find the surfboards scattered around the mountain and bring one back to the Park at Water’s Edge for a prize!

2PM: Slush Cup
Ski or ride through a giant pit of icy slush! Day of registration required at the Lodge Slopeside Tent at least 30-minutes prior to the start time. Helmets are required. Rental gear is prohibited. Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Held at the base of Thor.

2 – 5PM:  Live Music in the Vista Lounge

8 – 11PM:  Live Music in the Vista Lounge


Additional Activities

9am – 5pm: Fat Tire Bike Rental
$20 per hour. Includes helmet and trail pass.

9am – 5pm: Snowshoe Rental
$15 per hour. Activity is weather permitting.

9am – 9pm: Ice Skate Rental
$10 per hour. Activity is weather permitting.

2pm, 3pm: Archery
$20 per person. Reservations required, please call 231-378-2238.

5:30pm: Horse Drawn Surrey Rides
$10 per person (Kids less than 1 year old are free). First ride begins at 5:30pm. Other ride times may be available. Reservations required, please call  231-378-2238.

7pm: Outdoor Laser Tag
$15 per person. First session begins at 7pm. Other times may be available. Reservations required, please call 231-378-2238.

Sunday, March 12, 2023: Earl Huckle Memorial Race

  • Register at the ticket office from from 8 am to 10:45 am on March 11 or March 12, 2023
  • 11 AM Start, Giant Slalom on Liberty & Olympia – Open to All
  • Awards & Silent Auction in Beatie’s Bar & Grill following the race
  • $5 for kids and $10 for adults
  • 100% of the proceeds, including registration fees, go towards the Cadillac Ski Club Junior Race Program
  • Age divisions: 0-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

3:30 pm – Big Air Contest
Participants will be judged on difficulty, execution, variety & amplitude. Awards for the top 3 places!
$10 Entry Fee

5:30 to 8:30 – Live Music in Beatie’s Bar & Grill with Lee Malone

Crystal Mountain - Celts & Kilts

Cheers to a fun-filled St. Patrick’s weekend, with plenty of activities for everyone.

Please Note: All activities are weather permitting and subject to cancellation.

9:30 – 10:30AM: Kayaks on the Snow Registration
Be the fastest one down our race course. Equipment provided, personal equipment is prohibited. All participants must have their own helmet and be at least 8 years old. Day-of registration is required 30-minutes prior to the event starting (11am). All participants must be present at registration for a wristband. Registration will be held at the DJ tent on the Crystal Center deck.

11AM: Kayaks on the Snow Race
Held on the Cheers to Lou slope.

11AM – 1:30PM: Slush Cup Registration
Held at the DJ tent on the Crystal Center deck.

11am – 2pm
