Crystal Mountain - Celts & Kilts

Join us for a St. Patrick’s celebration where you can spot leprechauns across the slopes and witness our signature gravity-defying kayak race on the snow.

Lift Ticket Discount: Don’t get pinched! Wear your best Irish-themed gear and we’ll take $10 off your open-to-close window lift ticket.

11am – 2pm: Lodge Deck BBQ
Enjoy a traditional Irish dinner with braised corned beef, cabbage, roasted potatoes and carrots for only $14 per plate.

Kayaks On The Snow Race

9:30am – 10:45am: Kayaks on the Snow Registration
Day-of registration is required 15-minutes prior to the event starting (11am). All participants must be present at registration for a wristband. Registration located slopeside on the Lodge Patio. All participants are required to complete a waiver prior to the event, adults must sign for participants under 18 years old. All participants must have their own helmet and be at least 8 years old.

Equipment provided by Riverside Canoes, personal equipment is prohibited.

11am: Kayaks on the Snow Race
Held on the Cheers To Lou slope!

Noon – 4pm

  • Slopeside DJ: Playing your favorite hits at the Crystal Center Patio!
  • Leapin’ Leprechauns: Look for the Leprechauns out skiing on the slopes!
  • On-Slope Scavenger Hunt: Find a picture of a Shamrock scattered around the slopes. Bring one back to the Park at Water’s Edge for a prize!

FROM Norway Mountain >> Summer maintenance is in full swing at Norway Mountain! ☀️⛷️

Our crew has been hard at work getting everything ready for another incredible winter season. Here’s what we’ve been up to:

🎨 Repainting chairlift chairs
🌿 Mowing and clearing the mountain
🔧 Lift line maintenance and inspections
💡 Preparing to install the remaining lights for expanded night skiing

And the biggest project yet… the new rope installation on the Odin Chair is expected to begin within the next couple of months! We’re excited to keep improving the mountain and can’t wait to welcome everyone back this winter.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes, and we’ll continue sharing updates throughout the summer. Stay tuned—the countdown to ski season has officially begun! ❄️🏔️ #norwaymountain #whatsnew #SkiMichigan ... See MoreSee Less

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> Ski trail extensions on Badlands, Cry Baby and Rollercoaster with a forestry mulcher were completed today! The Badlands extension bypasses Two Step hill to create a better flowing trail over undulating terrain and a longer, more gradual climb back into Badlands. On Rollercoaster, the turn at the end of Dorothy’s Dip has been lengthened to allow more run-out after the long downhill before turning back to the trail. On Cry Baby, the hard right turn after a downhill that we added last year, now has a longer runout before returning via a sweeping right hand turn. #forbush #whatsnew #SkiMichigan ... FROM Boyne Mountain Resort >> Some faces belong to a mountain. Anyone who's ever loaded Mountain Express knows exactly the face we mean.
Duane was more than a lift operator; he was a greeter, a candy man, a Legend with a capital L. The kind of person who made a chairlift ride feel like the best part of your day. If you were lucky, you'd settle into your seat and feel something land in your hood. A little piece of candy, and a whole lot of joy.
He did that for everyone. He didn't care if you were on your first run or your thousandth.
That's what made Duane so special. He was a constant reminder that mountains are shared places. We all come here chasing the same thing. Deep snow, first tracks, and a feeling that's hard to explain to anyone who hasn't felt it. Duane got that better than most.
Opening day is going to feel a little different this year. But we carry him with us in every bluebird morning, every act of kindness passed to a stranger on the lift, and every kid who gets their first taste of winter magic.

Yesterday, Mommy and Papa took me on another adventure—this time to Boyne Mountain! 🏔️🐾 Papa rode the scenic chairlift up the mountain to experience SkyBridge Michigan. Mommy stayed below with me and my big sister, Finley, while she took pictures of our Mi Cookie Project bakers and their families heading up the mountain. While we waited, Finley and I made lots of new friends and received plenty of hugs and love from the children we met. I may not have been able to see the mountain or the incredible view, but I could feel the excitement, hear the laughter and experience every bit of the love surrounding me.
