📌 The Monument Course at Boyne Mountain

We had been warned by a friendly group of golfers at gypsydistillery the day before - boyne.mountain has a pair of TOUGH golf courses.

In particular, they said, the #MonumentCourse is sure to empty the balls out of your bag and put an astronomical score on your card.

While it certainly packed a lot of challenge - tight, forested corridors, nasty sand traps, intimidating water hazards butting up against fairways and greens - it was far more playable than I imagined after heeding those warnings.

It was also one of the most beautiful inland #golf settings I’ve seen, with the layout leaping from the top of a ski hill (with a view of the incredible #SkyBridge from the first tee, third photo), working its way into majestic, rolling parkland for the back nine.

With 18 dramatic holes and perfect course conditions like we saw at the rest of the boyne.golf properties that week, the #Monument stood out as the trip’s biggest surprise for me on our trip last August.
