Mackinac Island Cross Country Skiing
The Mackinac Island Ski club grooms trails on the east and north side of the Island in Mackinac Island State Park.
The cross country ski trails wind through the pristine woods of Mackinac Island State Park and allow the winter visitor to see all of the natural and historical landmarks of the island.
You can follow the ski trails to the interior of the island and take in the vistas from the highest point on the island at Fort Holmes. Or ski through the woods to Arch Rock and enjoy the view of Lake Huron from the bluffs on the eastern side of the island.

My daughter and I stopped many times along our bike ride on our last day there.
There were so many beautiful things to see that didn’t cost a penny. The water, the birds, rocks, flowers, trees- the list could on and on.
As I’ve crossed over the 50 year mark, time has some how become more precious and occupies my thoughts much more than it used too.
Here is just a little reminder for us all that time is so precious and we need to be present in each moment.

Arch Rock on Mackinac Island is usually so busy that it's very difficult to get a decent photo of yourself with it in the background.
Go after 7 PM and you have it all to yourself because the day trippers are all gone.
