Mackinac Island Cross Country Skiing
The Mackinac Island Ski club grooms trails on the east and north side of the Island in Mackinac Island State Park.
The cross country ski trails wind through the pristine woods of Mackinac Island State Park and allow the winter visitor to see all of the natural and historical landmarks of the island.
You can follow the ski trails to the interior of the island and take in the vistas from the highest point on the island at Fort Holmes. Or ski through the woods to Arch Rock and enjoy the view of Lake Huron from the bluffs on the eastern side of the island.

We had the perfect vacation to celebrate the end of summer and the Griffith’s upcoming 50th wedding anniversary.
With perfect end of season weather and a splash of morning rain on the third day it was a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.
Anderson had a blast making core memories like riding the horse carriage, throwing rocks, chasing birds and generally just doing whatever he wanted the whole time.

Michigan photo dump part 2! A little backstory: One of our Mom’s most favorite movies is Somewhere in Time, staring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour, and she has always wanted to visit the island it was filmed on, Mackinac Island in Michigan. She admitted she’d never dreamed she’d ever visit the place, but there we were. All thanks to my amazingly thoughtful sister jillavidal for thinking of taking our mom here to celebrate her milestone 80th birthday. We all had the time of our lives making new memories, seeing and experiencing new things, eating new food (discovered Joanne’s fudge, my new fave), and connecting in a way we haven’t in much too long. My heart is full and I will cherish this trip always. Happy 80th birthday Mom, and many more!!! I love you both SO much grace_kono14 and jillavidal !!!
