Cross Country Ski Headquarters – Bob Frye Inducted to Michigan Ski Hall of Fame!

Bob FryeWe are honored to announce that Bob Frye, after 42 years in the cross country skiing industry, has been inducted to the Michigan Ski Hall of Fame!

The induction took place on Monday, August 22nd, at the Michigan Snowsports Industries Association annual meeting and dinner. Bob, founder of Cross Country Ski Headquarters, was honored for his “major contributions in areas of organization, promotion, or development of the skiing industry in Michigan.”

During his acceptance speech, Bob thanked all the people who have believed in the mission of Cross Country Ski Headquarters: help people have fun on the snow. He made a special thanks to his wife, Lynne, who joined him early on in the business, and without whom XC Ski HQ would not be what it is today. The ceremony was attended by many members of the Michigan and Midwest ski industry, as well as Lynne, his children, and other family members. Happy Mother’s Day from the crew at #xcskihq! Mother Nature gifted us with a thick blanket of snow this morning... a surprising but beautiful sight (also the perfect consistency for making a snowman!). Cheers to all you moms out there - you truly make the world go round, and you are so, so loved!! @ Cross Country Ski Headquarters ... See MoreSee Less

Forty some years ago an old timer in the UP swore he’d once skied on the 4th of July. Who can say it can’t happen again!

This crew enjoyed some great spring skiing on the #xcskibq trails yesterday! Take a break from the news and the noise and head to the woods for a refreshing dose of normalcy. Rock skis recommended, and we have some to borrow if you need. Open every day until March 31st. ... See MoreSee Less
