Boyne Mountain - "The Grinder" Cross Country Ski Race - February 20, 2016

  • "Kids Loppet" to Follow after Race at Boyne Mountain Cross Country Center

Race Start:

Race start can be reached by skiing approximately  1 ½ km following the race start arrows.  The arrows begin across the road from the Boyne Mountain XC Center at the archway.  Participants will need to cross the road near the Disciples 2 chairlift and ski up past the Creekside Condos. Race start will be at 10am above the bridge on the Hilda's Hideway downhill run.  Please allow for time to get to the start area.

Race Course:

The race course will start on Hilda's Hideway downhill run, and climb to the top of the Mountain and heading to the Vistas loop.  Participants will then complete 2 loops on Vistas before returning to Grinder and the downhill finish on Hilda's Hideway.  The finish is located at the start area,  just above the bridge on Hilda's Hideway.   It will be a mass start. Awards:  At the Boyne Mountain XC  Center immediately after the race.  Awards will be given to top 3 in each age group, and a special award for the first to the top of the first climb off the start for male and female.  Results will be posted as soon as possible. Kids' Loppet:  The non-competitive Kids' Loppet will start from the Boyne Mountain XC Center following the race
