Crystal Mountain – Airsoft Biathlon – February 9, 2025
[ February 9, 2025 to February 10, 2025. ]
Join us as we combine airsoft and cross-country skiing into our Airsoft Biathlon! The ski trail will be a one-mile long loop with two target stations. Must be 8 years or older to participate.
Cost: $25 per person. Includes cross-country ski equipment rental and airsoft equipment.

We finally got enough snow to start building the base and setting tracks! Our team compacted, rolled, and set classic tracks from Glen Arbor to Empire. The entire trail between Glen Arbor and Empire is also perfect for fat tire biking.
Pictured above: Volunteer Tim Dowd and Executive Director Laura Ann Johnson, who had the opportunity to ride along and assist with grooming from the Dune Climb to Empire.
Ski Conditions
Empire to Glen Arbor: About 6 inches of powder compacted into a 2-inch base. These are the best conditions for skate skiing on our trail so far! With more snow in the forecast, we’re optimistic that the base will continue to grow.
Glen Arbor to Lawr Farm by Wheeler Road: 6 inches of fresh powder. We’re planning to groom this section later this week, aiming to have it ready for the weekend.
Dune Climb Sledding: Conditions look great for sledding today! Snow is covering all the sand.

John plans a full groom for wednesday with the Kubota. VS is currently in Blizzard mode right now. The Forest Service is using the parking lot today due to training across the street with snowmobiles. The trails have some accumulation of snow on yesterday's groom. The lodge is open until 4 pm. #valleyspur #SkiMichigan
